Lotus Resort was such an amazing experience for us! We loved the peace and quiet, the charming architecture, and our strolls around the ponds. The hot tub was so relaxing, and the hosts were absolutely wonderful — they made us feel so welcome

Two day stay
The White Lotus is rated well on google and the website makes it look nice but we had very unpleasant stay. When we got there, the room was oriented is such a way that the balcony of the room next door could look directly into our room. When we closed the curtains, they were filthy. The bathroom looked unfinished and had scum in the corners. My wife whom is terrified of spiders, found the largest wolf spider I have ever seen crawling around at the foot of the bed. When we decided to cut our stay short, we were denied any sort of refund. We were hoping for a relaxing and unique stay but the whole experience made us feel very uncomfortable.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. It was near family and I had an online training class. The White Lotus was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful, the host was very responsive and accommodating. We loved the Zen vibe and the amenities available, although we didn't use many of them this time. We will be back.

Lovely Weekend Stay!
The White Lotus offers an exceptional value, nestled perfectly within a 30-minute drive of countless hidden gems in charming small towns. Our Memorial Day weekend stay was restorative—we spent time exploring the grounds, gathering around a fire, and enjoying meals in the gazebo of The Castle. It was nice that our room in The Castle, the Suite Pea, had its own microwave, mini-fridge, tv, and coffee supplies. The bed was comfy, too! The door locks on the outside when you close it, but it would be great if the doors on the inside of the room could have some kind of locking mechanism (chain, bolt, etc) to enhance privacy and security measures.
The property has an undeniable charm that's entirely its own. The Zen Barn, in particular, impressed us with its stunning furnishings and thoughtful design touches that create a truly serene atmosphere.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our time, a few areas could benefit from some attention. Ongoing maintenance and construction projects detracted from the overall aesthetic, and the common areas—particularly the shared kitchens and seating areas—would shine with a deeper clean and some upholstery refreshing.
We would have loved clearer guidance on how to fully utilize the amenities available, such as the massage services, sauna, and yoga offerings. Better signage or a welcome packet explaining these features would enhance the guest experience significantly.
Despite these minor points, we had a fantastic stay and would return—specifically to experience the hobbit house or the tree house! If you’re looking for a quirky, relaxing nature-filled experience, this is for you!
