Log Cabin on the River

המקום פשוט יותר ממושלם. מי שלא מגיע מפסיד. Positive: מיקום ליד הנהר מדהים. בקתה מאוד מאוד יפה ומאובזרת בצורה מושלמת. המקום מאוד מפנק. Negative: היסיתי להתקשר לבעלי המקום המהלך היום ולא הייתה תשובה. ישנה הטעיה בבוקינג שכביכול אין חניה כשלמעשה כן ישנה חניה לרכב.

The log cabin is charming, cozy and attractive. The kitchen is well furnished with all you need for basic food prep. The reading nook is a fabulous place for reading, listening to music ( bring your own cd player, etc ) and watching the night sky fall. The king size bed is very comfortable. The wood stove is easy to work. I brought my own wood, but you could probably get as much as you want from collecting fallen branches from the woods. The stream was flowing boldly during my stay, and the sound of it traveling over the rocks was heavenly. The Adirondack chairs on the front deck are perfect for soaking up nature’s beauty. I wanted a place for solitude, reflection and renewal - this place delivered it all !

Really is a great property just for itself, it is also very close to some top destinations nearby with a moderate drive. The property itself is secluded from the main resorts properties so it is truly a stand alone cabin with all the seclusion desired. We didn’t leave the cabin for our three night but I’m sure you can. The outdoor fire pit, indoor wood stove, king bed with reading alcove. Such an amazing concept and is worth every penny. We went during the winter, it was a rare warm day and we were able to put a hoodie on and explore the creek and just can only imagine how nice it will be in the summer. The deck and grill with chairs and a wrap around porch should be a national treasure. Great hosts and service team. Full kitchen and hot water! Felt very safe as the locks and doors were very up to date. Please book this property for your stay before I buy it and keep it for myself.

Amazing! I would love to return and experience what the cabin by the river offers each season! Positive: We loved the esthetics, location. the sounds and view of the creek from every window tickled the senses! The bathroom was modern and I appreciated how the windows were appointed in the bathroom so that one’s sight is always directed to the true beauty of the property the outdoors the sky the creek the trees and the wildlife! Negative: We stayed the weekend after Thanksgiving and it was cold even a few snow flurries in the area. There were no fire logs in the cabin when we arrived. We had to drive to the lotus retreat to collect logs the next morning. Had I known there would be no logs we would have bought some when we did our grocery shopping in Charlottesville. Our 1st night and morning was very cold. As there were detailed instructions regarding a $ per log I was expecting logs to be available on the property. When I texted the host about the situation rather than him bringing logs to the property I received directions 12 miles away where I could retrieve logs and pay per log. That burned. But we didn’t allow it to spoil our visit.

We loved our stay. Positive: No breakfast included. The location was amazing. Negative: Wood box was empty.
