Good, not great. The Bali room was okay. I had no issue with the mattress (my partner did, it hurt his back a lot) but if you are picky about mattresses be aware that it is a memory foam mattress. There's a good amount of mold in the bathroom from the combo of humidity and wood. The water on the property smells awful, very metalic. The two towels that were already in our room were good, but when we requested more the two extra towels we got smelled awful, one smelled like BO + dog and the other was vaguely unpleasant but not dirty per say... No issues with communication, the communal kitchen was good, it was a pretty peaceful stay. I will also say, the advertised attractions on site were a bit lack luster: the "yacht" was out of commission, beached at a near 45* angle and looked like it was going to topple into the muddy pond; the cool dip pool had enormous spiders in it and I have some reservations about the safety of the still, standing water (did not see any kind of pump or smell any chemicals); there was a half built (?) little building on property that we weren't quite sure was in progress or abandoned so we didn't linger. All that being said, it is a good location between Shenandoah and Ruckersville, and then it's not too far from cville if you really want everything. I did see a cat on property but he had no interest in me unfortunately. The AC/heat worked just fine, no issues with the door code or loud neighbors. The property is neat but I feel like it could be renovated and be so much better.

This is one of those third spaces. You're not just a guest, but there's no expectations put on you to do or be more. Lots of great opportunities to see and engage with nature. Some incredible spaces for hanging out or being by yourself. Truly a step away.

These facilities were perfect for my intent - a long weekend to do nothing but watercolor painting. I had everything I needed to be comfortable and creative. Everything in the kitchens and bathrooms was clean and sufficient for my needs. The espresso machine was a wonderful bonus. It was so quiet I could hear the owls hooting. Management was responsive to my inquiries. The only downside is spotty internet for staying in touch with family but I quickly found service spots. I’ll be back.
