Hobbithouse Stay
We recently stayed in a Hobbit House at White Lotus Resort & Spa for my fiancé’s birthday, and it was absolutely magical. He’s a huge Hobbit fan, so this was the perfect surprise—and he completely loved it!
The room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, really capturing that whimsical Hobbit charm while still feeling comfortable and luxurious. The views were beautiful and made the whole experience even more special. Waking up to such gorgeous scenery felt like stepping into a fantasy world.
One of the highlights was the free breakfast at the Castle’s Kitchen—such a fun touch! The food was delicious, and it was the perfect way to start each morning.
Overall, it was such a unique and memorable getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and seeing how happy it made my fiancé made it even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, magical escape!

Peaceful Retreat at the Hobbit House!
We had a lovely stay at the Hobbit House. It was exactly as pictured and the space itself was larger than we expected! It also has wonderful natural light throughout and a fabulous deck! The kitchen was decently stocked with cooking basics, the bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi tub felt like a real treat, and having 2 bathrooms was a major plus!
The one thing I’ll note is that if you have questions during your stay or you need something, you need to advocate for yourself. My partner and I arrived after dark and after checking in to the Hobbit House, we drove our car around the grounds using the map that David provided. We were unsure which of the properties on the grounds were communally shared with other White Lotus guests so we were happy to find a long-term guest in one of the shared kitchens at the Zen Lodge who gave us the lay of the land and let us know where we could find the jacuzzi (which was not on the map provided), sauna, and breakfast locations in the morning. If you plan to partake in the breakfast provided and you are staying in the Hobbit House, please note that you will need to walk a short (but hilly) distance or drive to other proprieties on the grounds.
We did not end up using the sauna or jacuzzi. During our stay, David was away and from other reviews it sounded like he was happy to build a fire for guests who wanted to use the sauna. However, we were there during Christmas and David was away so guests had to prepare the sauna for themselves (and did, we saw it in use)! We also ran into other guests exploring the grounds and enjoyed meeting them.
If you are the type of person that expects everything to be ready at your convenience when you book accommodations, you should adjust your expectations for your stay at the Hobbit House and on the grounds.
We brought all our food for cooking so we were well-prepared and we celebrated a wonderful, calm, and memorable Christmas at the Hobbit House. As there is no TV or DVD player in the Hobbit House, we brought a projector, DVD player, and sheet from home to enjoy some Christmas movies and that was very magical. We also enjoyed the communal nature of the grounds. It felt sort of like camp! We would recommend the Hobbit House and stay here again without hesitation!

Vacation retreat
My husband and I love staying in the Hobbit House. The area is so nice and peaceful and is off the grid. We can relax, hike, read, and get some quality down time without any disturbances or distractions. We will plan many more vacations here.
